I spent the first couple of years out of high school cruising in my '55 Chevy, trying to find myself. Then Uncle Sam pointed his finger at me saying "I Want You". So I joined the Navy and saw the world through a porthole on an aircraft carrier.
This was followed by marriage, two great sons, and a career as an electrician (robotics).
Today you might find me canoeing, fishing, working on my '40 Chevy pickup, babysitting my two year old grandson, or walking the dog. Sometimes I even take a nap. After all, that's what retirement is supposed to be for.
I don't have any tattoos or piercings, so you'll just have to settle for my love handles as
proof of my bold and dangerous lifestyle choices.
Hoping to see many at our 50th. Now that we are middleaged , some of us have changed our appearance and may be hard to recognize - - - - - or maybe it's just my eyes.

I went to Iowa State, graduated and worked in food research for Monsanto in St. Louis. Married and moved to Tucson Arizona in 1971. My second life was as an accountant, first in business for myself and then for a company which we took public. As the company grew, I decided corporate life wasn't for me. And I retired. I was a single mother for many years, marrying again after my kids were in college. They now live in South Carolina (Emily) and Ohio (Matt). We travel alot, and try to see our grandchildren several times a year. I am really looking forward to visiting Beloit and catching up with friends.

After graduating from Northwestern University in 1968 with a BA in Comparative Literature, I happened into a career in the investment world – securities analysis, portfolio management, investment strategy, institutional sales, and management. My wife Marline and I moved to Germany in 1974 “for 2 -3 years” but somehow ended up staying for 36. It was a fantastic time to be there. (Remember the Berlin Wall coming down and the end of the Cold War?) Our son and daughter were born and raised overseas and our daughter still lives in Frankfurt. Retirement brought us back to Beloit and to a home on Turtle Creek that we fell in love with many years ago. Like most local retirees, we volunteer – BIFF, Snappers concessions, AARP tax computation, Women’s Fund, church. We also try to find time to get to a cottage in northern Wisconsin -- summer and winter. |

After a B.A. from La Crosse State U. I entered the U.S. Army and was proud to serve in Vietnam and Berlin (1968-1970) with the Military Police Corps. I joined the National Park Service in 1971 and enjoyed working 30 years from Grand Canyon, AZ to Valley Forge, PA and many points in-between.
In the past 50 years I look at myself as very fortunate and I'm thankful for the friends and family that have supported my life's endeavors.
What a sincere joy it will be seeing all you good folks at the reunion. Grand Lake, Oklahoma is a great place in retirement with prosperous fishing, amazing walking trails and warm, friendly people... See you in October!

Married 47 years to Terry Fell. We have one son, Curtis, a captain at the Rock County Sheriff's Department, he is married to Amy, a 2nd grade teacher at Powers School in Beloit Turner District. They have three sons, Jamey - 17, Josh - 14 and Jacob (JT) -8. All three grandsons play ball and we have attended many games, tournaments and cities through out the midwest. It has given us an opportunity to see some old friends and meet new ones. After almost 20 years, I retired as accounting supervisor from the Brennan, Steil Law Firm in 2007.
